Before pictures.

Okay, so we did not make it a rule beforehand that before pictures MUST be taken in order to win prizes. This is something that many other ONLINE weight loss competitions REQUIRE because there is no other way to VERIFY weight loss without full body images. Because the competition has already began, it would be wrong to create a new rule HOWEVER, if the majority of women are also wanting this rule to be in effect then we can add it and enforce it. SO... Let us know what you think about ADDING THIS AS A RULE by voting on the poll to the right.

Should we REQUIRE pictures as
verification of weight loss?

Don't worry gals, if we add this rule we will start enforcing it next month and require them for the rest of the competition.

Just as an example...

It's great to have pictures like this because no one can deny that the 17 lbs that were claimed lost are gone! So... what do you think?

*You would NOT be required to take pics in any particular outfit. We would just like you to wear the same outfit in both pictures or at least outfits that are similar to eachother AND something that is semi-form fitting. (We cannot see progress in a sweatshirt!) Even JEANS AND A T-SHIRT would be acceptable!*

I did one every month last year and it is so nice to see from month to month the difference. I poeted them on my blog. I would highly recommend them to people. I have stopped taking pictures and really wish I would have taken one at the start of this one because I think I had a good month.

While I think it is a great idea and would say yes to it if everyone votes on it, I really think this should have been agreed upon in the begining. That being said, I think I'm going to start doing monthly pictures again.

Although the thought of taking pics of me now makes my knees shake a bit, I do believe that it is a good idea. It is easy to cheat, even with digital scales and if you are winning money, I think a picture should be warranted.

I am up for it! It is great to see before and after. I will totally do it!! :)

I voted "no" it shouldn't be required simply because BEFORE I would have been sick at the thought of the idea. There may be some contestants that have paid, are IN this competition, but maybe would not have done so had they known that pix would be required. Personally, I no longer have a problem with the concept, as you know Karilynn :o), I've hurled myself over THAT wall...LOL. And I already have before pix taken. I voted no to be fair to those other ones who may be squeamish about it. I'll happily comply with what the majority think.

I dont care either way. I didnt take a before picture to start with but I do have a picture from close to the time I started. I hate my picture being taken but I will do it.

it depends on what we have to be wearing in the picture. If it is shorts and tank tops, than no, not all of us want people looking at pictures of us (not to mention I don't even own a pair of shorts) wearing that. If I can take them in my sweats, or jeans, than I can do that.

YES! If you win a weigh in, how will anyone know if you are really losing? the proof is in the pudding!

I have been in a competition before where a person was NOT losing the weight she was claiming to have lost. Her scale was broken and she really "thought she was losing". If she had been required to show pics, we could have asked her to use a different scale in order to verify.. instead she took a large amount of money from the competition and didn't discover the error in her scale until several months later! SO FRUSTRATING!!!

I really really really do not want pictures to become a rule of this competition. I don't think it's right to add a rule just 'because' and for no other reason than to verify the loss. We all are adults and we know how to be honest. If people want to cheat - fine. I'm not doing this competition for the $ I'm doing it for the weight loss. IF this DOES become a rule (and I really hope it doesn't) then I DO NOT want to have to wear shorts and tanks in the pic. I think we should be able to use a picture that was taken of us 'before' when we are fully clothed.

I see where everyone is coming from with the value of the before picture. I'm not trying to argue that. I just personally really do not want to take a before picture of myself. Please do not make this a rule!

I agree about what to wear is a factor. I have before and after pictures in regular clothes and you can still tell a difference. I will do pictures like those but the other kind in tanks etc. I will not do.

Elise, Lorie, Robyn... anyone else... I already posted in the post that it would NOT be required to wear ANYTHING specific! Hope that helps. AND the pictures would not be posted for the whole world to see.. you would only have to post them if you are winning money.

I'm game. I am what I am and I look how I do. I don't see the diff in puttin up a pic in t shirt and jeans for the web people to view and walking into wal mart. We can't change how we look right now we can only see the progress later.
